The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Human Resources, the former MTUC President-Dato Zainal Rampak, Dato Harman Shah (former MTUC Vice-President), Dato Hamzah (former Shah Alam Assemblyman). Nine senior leaders headed by newly appointed MTUC President- Mr Mohd Khalid Atan has held talks for 20 minutes with the Prime Minister on issues of employment such as minimum wage, amendments to labour laws, 90 Days Maternity Leave, COLA for private sector, outsourcing, contract for labour and etc. The meeting was concluded with a lunch session with the Prime Minister.
According to MTUC sources, Deputy Minister of Human Resources will meet and have a dinner with MTUC leaders on 7 February 2011 at Marriot Hotel.
charleshector - MTUC has remained steadfast in its commitment to support the government during the last 61 years. It is the government and prime ministers like Abdullah Ahmad who have treated the MTUC with contempt. Did not Abdullah tell the MTUC, “you can picket 100 times, the decision of no stays”?

Inikan program MTUC dgn PM...KALAU MCM NI alamat MTUC akan 'dimakan' kjaan macam zaman Zainal Rampak dulu...habis pampasan pekerja di Perkeso jadi sikit...ohhh..faedah Kematian KWSP pun tinggal RM 2500 je...Yg dapat faedah Zainal Rampak hingga jadi SENATOR....Nasib pekerja macam ni juga..gaji paras kemiskinan..si baghal Jaafar Majid tu akan jual nasib pekerja..kat Telekom dia ujual borong CA Telekom..hampasss..dapat 3% tp dia jaja sana sini...bagus..bagus..(yg sebetulnya yg bagus ialah dia dapat sambung 3 thn lagi)..betul2 kacang lupakan kulit...

Najib intend to champion the private workers issues by using MTUC leaders...he might promise the minimum wages...& all the goodies but as usual...after election is over...everything back to normal...Now workers can see MTUC leaders having lunch even dinner with UMNO Government @ politician...maybe next time they will go for karaoke together.(Jaafar Majid will lead MTUC team..emmm..entertainer) ...built up good relationship...till all of them forget about workers struggles..then workers will call again MTUC...Ohhh Mty You See....
