KUALA LUMPUR: The Tenaga Nasional Berhad Joint Employees Union including the TNB Junior Officers Union and the TNB Executive Union said they will picket next month.
This will be held at the company’s headquarters in Bangsar and has the objective to hand in a second memorandum to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
TNB Junior Officers Union president Mohd Roszeli Majid claimed the current CEO is inefficient and has overseen a huge loss to TNB since taking over.
“The company has also violated an agreement with us where instead of outsourcing the permanent jobs and permanent positions, they have resorted to contracts for new workers,” he said.
One of the requests in the memorandum includes a new CEO to be appointed on condition that the candidate must be a TNB staff with experience and knowledge of the company.
The first memorandum was handed over to Najib during his visit to the Proton headquarters on Jan 7.
